Introduction

These terms and conditions apply to all vehicles sold by Friendly Garage. By purchasing a vehicle from us, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

1. Vehicle Description

1.1. We make every effort to ensure that the description of vehicles advertised is accurate. However, we do not guarantee that descriptions are error-free or complete.

1.2. All vehicles are sold as seen and tested unless otherwise stated. It is the buyer's responsibility to satisfy themselves as to the condition of the vehicle before purchase.

1.3. Mileage is warranted to be genuine to the best of our knowledge and belief. However, we cannot guarantee mileage accuracy and recommend buyers make their own investigations.

2. Deposit

2.1. A non-refundable deposit may be required to secure a vehicle. The amount will be agreed upon at the time of reservation.

2.2. If the buyer fails to complete the purchase, the deposit will be forfeited.

2.3. If Friendly Garage is unable to supply the vehicle for any reason, the deposit will be refunded in full.

3. Payment

3.1. Full payment must be received before the vehicle is released to the buyer.

3.2. We accept payment by cash, bank transfer, debit card, or credit card. Additional charges may apply for credit card payments.

3.3. Cheques must be cleared before the vehicle can be collected.

4. Collection and Delivery

4.1. Vehicles must be collected within 7 days of full payment unless otherwise agreed.

4.2. Delivery can be arranged at an additional cost. Please contact us for a quote.

4.3. Risk in the vehicle passes to the buyer upon payment in full, even if the vehicle has not yet been collected.

5. Warranty

5.1. All vehicles come with a comprehensive warranty as standard. Details of the warranty coverage will be provided at the time of sale.

5.2. The warranty does not cover fair wear and tear, misuse, or damage caused after purchase.

5.3. Any warranty claims must be reported to Friendly Garage immediately and in accordance with the warranty terms.

6. MOT and Service

6.1. All vehicles are supplied with a minimum of 6 months MOT unless otherwise stated.

6.2. All vehicles are fully serviced before handover to ensure optimal condition.

6.3. Service history and MOT certificates will be provided where available.

7. Consumer Rights

7.1. Your statutory rights are not affected by these terms and conditions.

7.2. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have certain rights when purchasing goods from a trader.

7.3. If you have any concerns about your rights, please contact us or seek independent advice.

8. Part Exchange

8.1. Part exchange vehicles are accepted subject to inspection and valuation.

8.2. The part exchange value is only valid for 7 days from the date of valuation.

8.3. The part exchange vehicle must be as described and in the condition stated at the time of valuation.

9. Finance

9.1. Finance is subject to status and is provided by third-party lenders.

9.2. Friendly Garage acts as a credit broker and not a lender.

9.3. Finance quotations are for illustration purposes only and may vary based on individual circumstances.

10. Vehicle Registration

10.1. We will provide all necessary documentation for vehicle registration transfer.

10.2. It is the buyer's responsibility to notify the DVLA of the change of ownership.

10.3. Road tax is not included in the purchase price unless specifically stated.

11. Data Protection

11.1. We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR.

11.2. Your information will only be used for the purposes of completing your vehicle purchase and providing after-sales service.

11.3. We will not share your data with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.

12. Limitation of Liability

12.1. Friendly Garage accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from the use of the vehicle after purchase.

12.2. Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the vehicle, except where excluded by law.

12.3. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

13. Complaints

13.1. If you have any complaints about your vehicle or our service, please contact us immediately.

13.2. We aim to resolve all complaints quickly and fairly.

13.3. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate your complaint to an independent dispute resolution service.

14. General

14.1. These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between buyer and seller.

14.2. Friendly Garage reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.

14.3. These terms are governed by English law and subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.

14.4. If any provision is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
